Sooo, trying to find a swimsuit that’s both modest and made of actual good swimming material has been a difficult journey that I have spent the better part of a decade on. Every swimsuit with sleeves that I have bought has been clunky, or ill-fitting, or retains water so much that stepping out of a pool was a herculean task in and of itself. As a former competitive swimmer and Florida native who spends wayyyy too much time in the water, I needed something thin, lightweight, and most importantly: fast drying. I was sick of wading into the ocean and then having to wait several hours in the sun to dry off.
And then I found Lyra.
Let me tell you, this exact swimsuit was a game changer. I purchased one several years ago, and it still looks Brand. Freaking. New. It’s so lightweight — for the first time since dressing more modestly, I finally feel like I can compete in a swim competition without being weighed down by my clothes.
Honestly, I’m about to snag more of these in different colors. I LOVE it!!
