360 ONE Asset, a subsidiary of 360 ONE WAM, on Thursday launched an early-stage venture capital strategy to support startups from their first institutional funding rounds.

According to a company statement, this new strategy will focus on high-growth sectors, including consumer technology, fintech infrastructure, generative AI, spacetech, defence, and precision manufacturing. Besides capital, 360 ONE Asset will provide strategic guidance, governance support, and access to late-stage growth funding through its larger investment ecosystem.

The strategy is part of the firm’s broader lifecycle investment model and is anchored by its Rs 25,000 crore ($3 billion) private equity platform.

“As India approaches its next wave of startup-led economic transformation, 360 ONE Asset’s early-stage strategy aims to be at the forefront – identifying, backing, and shaping the companies that will define the next generation of unicorns,” said Sameer Nath, CIO and Head, Private Equity and Venture Capital, 360 ONE Asset.

The strategy is led by Gaurav Kushwaha (Bluestone), Nigel Vaz (Publicis Sapient), Vaibhav Domkundwar (Better Capital, Mobileum), and Ashwin Mittal (C5i).

Without disclosing the startups’ names, the firm said its early investment pipeline includes a gaming company with 10 million+ downloads, an Indian hot sauce brand targeting global markets, a SaaS platform for mutual fund management, and a spacetech venture developing indigenous Synthetic Aperture Radar technology.

“We follow a disciplined investment process with rigorous diligence, clear value creation plans, and defined exit strategies. We also offer active co-investment opportunities for strategic partners – all while staying focused on long-term macro trends like domestic consumption, financial infrastructure, healthcare, AI-led services, and deep tech innovation,” said Abhishek Nag, Senior Fund Manager and Strategy Head, 360 ONE Asset.

The firm currently manages nearly $10 billion across public and alternative markets, with over $3 billion in venture capital and private equity. Its offerings include AIFs, PMS, and mutual funds across asset classes.
