Six years after launching Call Her Daddy, podcast host Alex Cooper is giving the Daddygang a glimpse into how her media empire was born in a new documentary.
Fresh off premiering at Tribeca Festival, Call Her Alex begins streaming Tuesday, June 10, exclusively on Hulu. The two-part doc follows the Unwell Network founder as she prepares for her first tour and “offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the life-defining events” of the former college soccer player-turned-media mogul, including sexual harassment allegations against her Boston University coach.

“I was fortunate to grow up in a household where it was normalized to speak your mind. Playing sports and making videos in my basement, those were the two things I really loved,” the Gen Z podcast superstar reveals in the trailer.
In 2019, Cooper took her sex and relationships podcast from Barstool Sports to Spotify after inking a $60 million deal. Last year, she became the highest-paid female podcaster in the world when she moved Call Her Daddy to SiriusXM for $125 million.
Kamala Harris, Miley Cyrus, RuPaul, Chelsea Handler and Jane Fonda are just a handful of stars who’ve made guest appearances on Call Her Daddy, with Hollywood icon and fitness superstar Fonda being seen in the documentary telling Cooper, “I’ve been at this for 60 years. You’re one of the best interviewers I’ve ever had.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper revealed that she has even turned down potential guests who weren’t willing to open up.
“Everyone’s promoting something, and I respect it. I’m promoting Call Her Daddy. But I always say, ‘I know you are promoting this, but we’ve got to talk about your personal life.’ I tell them, ‘If [listeners] care about you, they’ll care more about your product.’ My audience holds me to a certain standard that I need to ask certain questions. How am I not going to ask Gwyneth Paltrow [who’s better in bed], Brad or Ben? This is a fun relationship and sex podcast. We’ve got to go there,” she revealed.
