The 2025 BET Awards were filled with huge wins from Kendrick Lamar, honors for Mariah Carey & Snoop Dogg, and Doechii’s passionate speech on people protesting ICE. We take you through the biggest moments of the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards.

What was your favorite moment? Let us know in the comments!

    Tetris Kelly:

From superstar performances to icons accepting awards, the BET Awards were full of culture, and we’re breaking it down. Millennials, rejoice! The show opened with a ‘106 & Park’ tribute that saw Bow Wow, Ashanti, Mario, B2K and more take the stage for a mash-up. Lil Wayne took the stage, and can we talk about the Jamie Foxx tribute that included Ludacris, T-Pain and Jennifer Hudson? Uncle Snoop Dogg dropped it like it was hot, and our queen Mariah Carey showed us she’s always relevant with her new single “Type Dangerous.” Mariah was honored at the 25th BET Awards, as were Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx, but the night’s big winner was Kendrick Lamar. He won five awards, including Album of the Year for ‘GNX’ and Best Collaboration for “Luther” with SZA.

Doechii won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, her first BET Award, and was passionate about activists outside the venue protesting ICE. Another glorious moment? GloRilla winning the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award.

For all things BET Awards, keep it locked with Billboard.
