Cardi B is back, and she’s “Outside.”

The Grammy-winning rapper dropped her first single of 2025, “Outside,” on Friday, marking her first solo release since “Enough (Miami)” last year.

“(I’m goin’ out) On the pop out (Side) ‘Cause it’s hot out / (I’m goin’ out) You was playin’ gamеs, (Side) Now you on time-out,” she raps in the chorus.

To tease the new track, Cardi wrote on Instagram Wednesday, “We OUTSIDE this Friday!!” She also shared the song’s photo art, which features the remnants of a summer block party in New York City, including an overflowing fire hydrant, and red Solo cups, dominoes and blunt wrappers spread across the ground.

Prior to the official release of “Outside,” Cardi also performed the new song at the Spotify Beach at Cannes Lions in France on Wednesday.

“When I tell you these n***as ain’t shit, please believe me / They gon’ fuck on anything, these n***as way too easy / Good for nothing, low-down, dirty dogs, I’m convinced / Next time you see your momma, tell her how she raised a bitch,” she raps in the first verse.

Cardi is no stranger to dropping No. 1 hits as she’s topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart five times, including with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny & J Balvin, “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and “Up.”

While she hasn’t released another album since her debut, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, Cardi has said she’s been working on her sophomore studio album, but that it’s been delayed as she awaits feature verses from other guests.
