Although a black flag was waved on the actress’ larger F1 storyline, leaving her with a non-speaking role, it didn’t stop her from being the diamond of the film’s European premiere in London.
Indeed, Simone dazzled as she arrived on the red carpet June 23 in an all-gold Balmain FW25 gown featuring peplum detailing on the waist and fitted pencil skirt, as well as an all-over crocodile-patterned embossing.
The Bridgerton star’s appearance comes one week after F1 director Joseph Kosinski explained that reducing her role in film—starring Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and more—wasn’t an uncommon move.
“It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use,” he told People of the decision—which garnered online backlash from fans—June 16. “There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn’t make it into the final cut.”
