Cory Monteith‘s family is dealing with another heavy loss, nearly 12 years after his untimely death.
Ann McGregor, the late Glee star’s mom, passed away “peacefully” on June 18, her loved ones confirmed in an online obituary. She was 74.
“We want to thank Ann’s close friends and acquaintances who have been there to support her over the years,” a message, shared to Prairie View Cremation and Memorial Services website, stated. “We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and palliative care staff at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon for the impeccable care Ann received while there.”
The family added they would celebrate Ann’s life privately at a later date.
Ann’s death comes just a month after Cory’s estranged father Joe Monteith died May 12 following an illness, per an obituary shared by Oromocto Funeral Home and Crematorium. Ann and Joe divorced in 1989, and also shared 45-year-old son Shaun Monteith.
