Class is back in session for Jenna Ortega.
The actress reprises the titular role in the second season of Wednesday as the iconic Addams family member heads back to Nevermore Academy. But all is not well at the Gothic boarding school, as Wednesday sees a vision of her roommate Enid (played by Emma Myers) meeting a chilling fate.
“Enid dies,” she tells her mother Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones) in a trailer released July 9, “and it’s all my fault.”
And despite her stoic exterior, the teen makes it her mission to undo her friend’s impending demise.
“Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family,” she said. “The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid—or die trying.”
Back in March, Jenna revealed that season two of the Netflix series contained “some of my favorite footage from the show,” teasing that the show’s executive producer Tim Burton “really had a ball.”
