See the ‘King of the Hill’ Revival Trailer from Hulu

Hulu’s King of the Hill revival has a trailer, as well as a new member of its voice cast.

Comedian and Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng has joined the animated series to voice Kahn Souphanousinphone, Hank’s (Mike Judge) Laotian neighbor, in the show’s 14th season. Toby Huss voiced the character during the show’s 13-season run on Fox from 1997-2010.

In addition to The Daily Show, Chieng’s credits also include Crazy Rich Asians, M3GAN, Hulu’s Interior Chinatown and voice work on Kung Fu Panda 4 and episodes of Fox’s Grimsburg and Krapopolis.

The King of the Hill trailer shows Hank and Peggy (Kathy Najimy) returning to their Arlen, Texas, home after Hank retires from the propane business — to the delight of neighbors Boomhauer, Bill Dauterive and Dale Gribble — while a now-adult Bobby (Pamela Adlon) is working as a chef and dabbling in brewing beer. Season 14 premieres on Aug. 4; watch the trailer below.

Judge, Najimy, Adlon, the late Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom and Huss all return in voice roles from the Fox series. Hardwick, who was also a writer and producer on the original run, completed some voice work as Dale before his death in 2023. Huss took over voicing the character after that.

King of the Hill is produced by 20th Television Animation. Co-creators Judge and Greg Daniels executive produce with showrunner Saladin Patterson, Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein of 3 Arts, and Dustin Davis of Judge and Daniels’ Bandera Entertainment.
