aespa Shares Teaser for New Song ‘Dirty Work’

aespa unleashed a molten teaser for their upcoming single “Dirty Work” on Wednesday (June 4).

The 28-second clip keeps the actual sound of the song a secret until its release on June 27 at midnight EST/1 p.m. KST, but its animation promises that fans can expect whatever the K-pop girl group is cooking up with their new release will be red-hot.

The video opens with a pile of metallic objects — chains, gears, cogs and other chunks of chrome — spontaneously beginning to glow with heat before melting down into a golden liquid. The molten mass then pours downwards to reveal the title of the single, hardening into a glinting ornate script made of diamonds and lined in gold.

According to a release, the single album for “Dirty Work” will include both English-language and instrumental versions on top of the original title track. To precipitate the release, aespa have also revamped their official website with a landing page featuring the song’s logo.

“Dirty Work” will mark aespa’s first single since the quartet were honored as Group of the Year at Billboard Women in Music 2025. During the March 31 ceremony, the idols performed their 2024 hit “Whiplash,” which became their first top ten entry on the Billboard Global 200 when it peaked at No. 8 on the chart dated Nov. 9, 2024.

Later this summer, aespa are set to hit the stage at KCON LA 2025 along with fellow K-pop superstars like NCT 127, RIIZE, KISS OF LIFE, MEOVV, NOWADAYS, MONSTA X, KEY, HWASA, YUQI and CHOIHOJUNG, the recent winner the Mnet dance competition STAGE FIGHTER.
