And Just Like That… fans have discovered another head-scratching plot point.
Viewers are calling out the HBO Max series after the Sex and the City spinoff’s most recent July 3 episode in which Nicole Ari Parker‘s character Lisa Todd Wexley announced that her dad, previously played by Billy Dee Williams, had passed away.
“My father died this afternoon,” Parker’s character revealed in the season three episode before giving a eulogy at his funeral. “He had a stroke out of nowhere.”
The only problem?
Lisa had previously shared in season one that her father was already dead, meaning the writers (either intentionally or unintentionally) killed him off a second time.
As Parker’s character said following the death of Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) during the inaugural 2022 season, “I was the exact same way when I lost my dad last year. I could see my rings literally shaking on my hands while I was trying to be so strong.”
