Andy Samberg is never on a lonely island with Joanna Newsom by his side.
The Saturday Night Live alum, who tied the knot with the musician in 2013, detailed how “lucky” he is to be married to his best friend of “17 or 18 years.”
“It’s fun, really fun,” Andy told Amy Poehler on the July 8 episode of her Good Hang podcast. “Obviously having kids changes things ’cause your responsibilities shift and your sleep schedule [and] obviously a million other things. But anytime there’s a pocket of time where it’s just us, it still feels like we’re getting away with something.”
In fact, the Lonely Island member—who shares two kids with Joanna—likened the playfulness of his relationship to “having a sleepover.”
“It’s fun and there’s no one I would rather be hanging out with and chatting with,” the 46-year-old continued. “It’s amazing. I feel really lucky to get to share my life with her.”
