Reviewers swear these don’t even have a break-in period, making them a great pickup for that last-minute outdoorsy trip where hiking and rough terrain are on the docket. Note that it’s recommended to go up a half size in these boots to accomodate thicker hiking socks, and I found that to be true when I picked up these shoes myself — I’m normally an 8 but found an 8.5 in these to be totally comfortable. I also found that they held up well even on my first hike — though I did admittedly still have some soreness around my heel area, this…

Slauson Rec — first-time filmmaker Leo Lewis O’Neil’s explosive documentary about the electric rise and heartbreaking fall of Shia LaBeouf’s experimental theater collective of the same name — received a relatively quiet birth into the Cannes Film Festival, announced just seven days before the start of the 2025 edition. Weeks before the news broke, LaBeouf confirmed in a statement that he was “fully” supporting the film despite how it captures all of his complicated angles, from talented hustler and charismatic leader to tortured artist and abusive mentor. He meant it. LaBeouf is backing it by fully leaning in and traveling…

Enzo is much more than an exploration of a young boy’s discomfort with his family’s social class. It turns out, director Robin Campillo tells The Hollywood Reporter, that the French-made film is actually the final hurrah of his long-time friend and Cannes Palme d’Or winner Laurent Cantet. “It’s really a film from Laurent Cantet and by Laurent Cantet,” says Campillo, the de facto caretaker of Enzo, who first met his fellow filmmaker in 1983. “I did the job, in a way, but it’s really a film from him and I think it’s a victory against death that this film exists.”…

Promising review: “I bought these as an additional item to keep my kids busy on our long car ride this past summer. They were a hit with our 9-, 12-, and 16-year-olds. I’m not ashamed to admit my husband and I also both enjoyed tinkering with them. There are so many movable parts, they aren’t terribly noisy when you move them either, which is good for quiet, enclosed spaces. For me, personally, I struggle with small noises, so these little fidgets were great.” —Shelby BPrice: $9.99+ (available in various colors and pack sizes) Source link

We originally purchased a mat to go under the high chair, but then we were still picking up food from the floor, and it still required us to move the mat after every meal to wipe. The Catchy makes it so easily wipeable, and we don’t need to remove it every time.” —Lauren Reed”This has been the…
