Derek A.E. Fuhrmann, an ASCAP Pop Award recipient and co-writer of Phillip Phillips’ “Gone, Gone, Gone,” has died. He was 44. Fuhrmann died June 27 in Nashville following a battle with cancer, publicist Harlan Boll announced. Fuhrmann was a University of Delaware graduate, where his career in music ignited.
