Warner Music Group and Bain Capital have announced a $1.2 billion joint venture aimed at acquiring high-profile music catalogs, including both recorded music and publishing rights. First reported by Billboard, the strategic alliance — jointly funded by both firms — aims to provide support for artists and songwriters while amplifying the impact and longevity of their creative legacies. The Newhouse family is selling most of its stake in Warner Bros. Discovery, effectively winding down a partnership that has spanned decades.
