JK Organisation became the first major cement manufacturer to set up manufacturing operations in Srinagar as it acquired a majority stake in Jammu and Kashmir-based Saifco Cements. JK Cement invested Rs 149.81 crore in Saifco Cements to acquire a majority 60% stake and formalise a joint venture with the company.
