He made his TV debut in 2011, playing Jack Dempsey in Boardwalk Empire. In the following years, the actor appeared on shows such as Blue Bloods, Orange Is the New Black, Gotham, Daredevil and Elementary. His most recent role, which came in 2020, was also his most prominent—Pete Baylor on the series Manifest.
Outside of acting, Devin “was a dedicated student of martial arts and a regular at the gym,” his obituary read, adding that “he often joked it was safer than getting kicked in the face by a horse.”
The actor is survived by his parents Randy Harjes and Rosanne Harjes, his sister Trish Harjes, his ex-wife Shiva Shobitha and other loved ones.
“Devin lived his dream with heart and grit,” his obituary read. “He brought characters to life, lifted others up, and always made room for laughter. He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and his cat Maude.”
