
Google Cloud has named Sashikumar Sreedharan as its managing director for India after his nearly two-year stint in APAC.
He takes over from Bikram Singh Bedi, who led the cloud business in the country for over four years and will now focus on strategic initiatives within Google Cloud APAC.
“I want to thank Bikram who has been instrumental in driving Google Cloud’s success in India till date…As Sashi takes on the leadership of our team in India, I’m confident he will further propel our organisation and our customers to their next phase of growth in this crucial market,” Karan Bajwa, President, Google Cloud, Asia Pacific said.
Before taking on this new role, Sreedharan was chief operating officer of Google Cloud APAC, starting in September 2023. Prior to that, he served as managing director at Microsoft India for over five years, leading its enterprise business. He has also held leadership roles at organisations like SAP and IBM.
“My time as COO for APAC has deeply affirmed my belief in Google Cloud’s winning strategy and powerful AI-first platform,” Sreedharan noted.

Sreedharan, a technology industry professional with over 30 years of experience, will lead Google Cloud’s go-to-market organisation in India. He will work with the company’s enterprise and digital-native customers, partners, and developer community as they develop AI-focused solutions.

Google Cloud has seen growth over the past year, with organisations such as HDFC Bank, HDFC Ergo, ICICI Prudential, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra, Apollo 24/7, Manipal Hospitals, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Glance, Sharechat, and Dream11 adopting its products and services.
Singh, who played a key role in the growth of Google Cloud India, said, “I am immensely proud of the business that we have built with the support of my team, our customers and partners.
