Indian Railways has launched a super app, RailOne, to improve user experience by offering a cleaner interface and combining multiple railway services on one platform.
The app offers ticketing, including reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets, enquiries for trains, PNR, journey planning, rail Madad Services, and Food on Train services.
The app is available for download on the Android Play Store and iOS App Store.
A key feature of the app is its single sign-on facility, which allows users to access multiple railway services without the need to remember multiple passwords. Existing credentials from RailConnect or UTSonMobile can be used for registration, eliminating the need for multiple apps and helping reduce storage space usage on users’ devices.

The app also includes an integrated R-Wallet (Railway e-wallet) feature for convenient digital transactions, including a simple option for login through mPIN and biometric.
The app launch comes at a time when railway travellers use a host of apps for different uses. This includes IRCTC Rail Connect for booking, UTS for purchasing unreserved rail tickets, NTES for live tracking trains, and Rail Madad for feedback, among others.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Railways announced its decision to prepare reservation charts for long-distance trains eight hours in advance, instead of the current four hours. It also issued an official circular increasing the fares of the non-air-conditioned class in mail and express trains by one paisa and all air-conditioned classes by two paise per kilometre from July 1.
