Republic Records has formed a joint venture with Visva Records, a new label founded and run by Grammy and Oscar-nominated songwriter Savan Kotecha, the companies announced on Tuesday (July 8).

Through the alliance, Republic and Visva will jointly release music from a roster that includes Los Angeles singer, songwriter and producer Magnus Ferrell; new Indian boy band OutStation, composed of singers from regions across the country; and Tamil and Sri Lankan artist Dhee.

Notably, the Republic/Visva partnership already bore fruit with their June 20 release of the soundtrack to KPop Demon Hunters, the blockbuster Netflix animated musical film that has become a cultural sensation. The album hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in its second week on the chart, making it the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025. The soundtrack’s breakout track, “Golden,” currently sits at No. 2 on Spotify’s Top 50 – Global chart.

Coming up on the Republic/Visva release slate is Ferrell’s debut single “Miss Me Vendetta,” which is set to drop on Friday (July 11).

“I’ve been working closely with Republic Records since 2013 as a songwriter and have experienced some of the most defining moments of my career with them,” said Kotecha in a statement. “I’ve learned so much from Monte, Avery, Wendy Goldstein, and their entire world-class team. It’s truly the honor of a lifetime to now partner with them on my first-ever label, Visva Records. Visva will focus on breaking global barriers, developing artists, and crafting key pop culture soundtracks. I’m incredibly excited for this new chapter—and proud that our first project, K-Pop Demon Hunters, is already bringing that vision to life and making a major impact around the world.”

Added Jim Roppo, chairman/CEO of Republic Records, “Savan has been a part of the REPUBLIC family for many years now. Working together to launch Visva was a natural progression of our already strong relationship. He’s building a phenomenal roster with global reach, and we’re excited to bolster his vision in any way possible.”
