    Mrs. GREEN APPLE ‘breakfast’ Hits No. 1 on Japan Hot 100

    Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “breakfast” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, on the chart released June 25.

    The latest No. 1 single by the three-man hitmakers, who hosted an event called Mrs. GREEN APPLE presents “CEREMONY” last Wednesday (June 18), arrived June 4. The morning news show theme song bowed at No. 2 on the chart released June 11, dropped to No. 3 the following week, then climbed to the top spot on this week’s chart. While downloads, streaming, and video views are down slightly, radio airplay for the track has gained a whopping 468% from last week.

    Ae! group’s  “Chameleon” debuts at No. 2. The Starto Entertainment quintet’s third single launched with 487,179 CDs to rule sales, while coming in at No. 65 for radio and No. 79 for video.

    ONE N’ ONLY’s “BLAST” bows at No. 3, and SHOW-WA & MATSURI’s “Bokura no Kuchibue” at No. 4, respectively, both powered by strong CD sales.

    Fujii Kaze’s “Hachikō,” the lead single off his upcoming new album Prema due Sept. 5,  jumps 29-9 to enter the top 10 this week. Fujii fueled interest in the single when he shared its recording process his Instagram, resulting in significant gains in radio (388%) and and streaming (232%) from the previous week.

    The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
