Ola, on Wednesday, rolled out a zero commission model for its drivers, becoming the latest ride hailing company to introduce this structure after rivals Namma Yatri, Rapido, and US-based Uber.

The company, on its social media platform, said it has rolled out 30-day passes for Rs 67 per day. This would mean that drivers would need to pay around Rs 2,010 a month for unlimited rides and no commission.

This structure is now active across the country and covers autos, bikes, and cabs. According to the company, the transition was carried out in phases, beginning with Ola Autos, followed by Ola Bikes, and now Ola Cabs.

“The launch of the 0% commission model pan India marks a fundamental shift in the ride-hailing businesses. Removing commissions empowers driver partners with much more ownership and opportunity. They are the backbone of the mobility ecosystem and giving them complete control of their earnings will help in creating a more resilient and sustainable ride-hailing network across the country,” an Ola Consumer spokesperson said in a statement.

In 2023, Namma Yatri began rolling out a subscription fee model, which allowed auto rickshaw drivers using its platform to earn the entire amount without paying a commission on each ride. Following the success of this model, Rapido introduced the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model for its auto drivers in 2024.

In 2025, Uber India also rolled out its zero commission model for its auto drivers across the country.
