Sir Rod Stewart called off his planned residency show at the Colosseum in Las Vegas on Sunday night (June 1) just hours before set time due to an unspecified illness. The 80-year-old singer pulled out of the show around 6 p.m. local time, with less than four hours to go, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The singer shared the news with fans in an Instagram story, writing, “I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10.” Stewart said the tickets for Sunday’s show will be valid for the new date. In a note posted around the same time, the Colosseum said, “We are sorry to inform that due to illness, Sir Rod Stewart’s show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10.”

After taking home the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards last month, Stewart returned to the Colosseum for a trio of shows on May 29, 31 and June 1 before pulling out of the June 2 gig. He is next slated to take the stage in Las Vegas on Thursday (June 5), followed by shows on the 7th and 8th.

After that, the “Hot Legs” star is slated to hit the road for a summer tour that will include amphitheater shows in California and Nevada before jumping over to his native England for a Legends slot performance on the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29. Stewart recently announced that he will be joined by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood at Glasto, where they will reunite their 1960s’70s band Faces. After returning to North America in July, Stewart will criss-cross the U.S. and Canada before resuming the residency on Sept. 24.
