And that was the kind of energy James brought to the “joyous” set, allowing the cast—which also includes Nicholas Hoult, Beck Bennett, Isabella Merced, Nathan Fillion and Wendell Pierce—to explore different tones for their characters.
“James just creates this atmosphere of total collaboration. And just from the first day, it felt like we were at summer camp,” Skyler said. “We were having way too much fun making this movie.”
The Santa Clarita Diet alum doesn’t want the fun to stop now. In fact, Skyler is already campaigning to don Jimmy’s Daily Planet press badge again.
“I would return for a hundred sequels,” he gushed. “I love this movie so much. I loved this group, this experience. It was truly like the gift of a lifetime. I would return again and again until I am 170 years old.”
