Dan + Shay, John Stamos, Aaron Dessner, Alan Menken and Benj Pasek & Justin Paul are among the performers and presenters set for the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner, which is slated for Thursday (June 12) at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
While the SHOF doesn’t reveal which presenters and performers are tied to which honorees, we can make educated guesses. Dan + Shay have had major country hits with songs co-written by honoree Ashley Gorley: “Nothin’ Like You” and “Save Me the Trouble” were both smashes on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
Stamos has played for decades with The Beach Boys, whose Mike Love is being honored.
Dessner produced or co-produced the first two studio albums by Gracie Abrams, who is set to receive the Hal David Starlight Award.
Menken has often collaborated with Stephen Schwartz, who is set to receive the Johnny Mercer Award. Menken and Schwartz have collaborated on six songs or scores that have received Oscar nominations (Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Enchanted). Pasek & Paul have often spoken of Schwartz as a mentor to them in the early stages of their career.
In two cases, children of the honorees will be on the bill. Sadie Gorley is the daughter of Ashley Gorley. Heavenly, Hannah Joy and Rodney Jerkins Jr. are children of honoree Rodney Jerkins.
