    At L&T’s Vadodara factory, an all-women team of engineers is overseeing a high-tech, precision-driven process—from mould prep to final dispatch—for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project, India’s flagship bullet train initiative. 

    The team is manufacturing over 9,000 precast noise barriers every month and also breaking stereotypes in a sector where women make up less than 20% of the workforce. Read more.

    The Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India are undergoing a major transformation, evolving from cost-saving outposts to become hubs of innovation for global enterprises. Once seen primarily as centres for cost arbitrage, GCCs in India have climbed steadily up the value chain. 

    “Their (GCCs) ambition has started to change, and the real unlock will start once they start to leverage what we call innovation arbitrage,” says Sanjay Menon, Managing Director, Publicis Sapient India, in an interaction with Enterprise Story. Read more.

    The US Bankruptcy Court in Delaware has found BYJU’S Co‑founder Byju Raveendran in civil contempt for failing to comply with two earlier court orders, as per a ruling issued on July 7, 2025.

    Judge Brendan L Shannon confirmed the court’s “personal jurisdiction”—its legal power to compel Raveendran’s compliance—and determined that he had failed to comply with both orders. Read more.

    Meet Sabih Khan, Apple’s supply chain strategist set to steer its operations

    Sabih Khan’s appointment as Apple Chief Operating Officer (COO) feels less like a sudden power shift and more like the culmination of a meticulously planned operation. Over a 30‑year career, he has methodically refined links in a supply chain that spans continents and weathers political fault lines. His work has earned Tim Cook’s praise as “one of the central architects of Apple’s supply chain.”

    AI impersonator posing as US Secretary of State targets foreign ministers: Report

    An individual using an AI-generated voice to impersonate US Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted three foreign ministers and two US officials last month, Reuters said in a report.

     

    It added that the impersonator reached out via the Signal messaging app, leaving voicemails and inviting targets to continue communication on the encrypted platform. Read more.

    Varthana Finance raises Rs 159 Cr debt 

    Varthana Finance, an education-focused non-banking financial company (NBFC), raised Rs 159 crore in debt funding from three global impact investors, BlueEarth Capital, ResponsAbility, and Franklin Templeton Alternative Investments (Franklin Templeton AIF). 

    It secured the funds through a combination of external commercial borrowing (ECB) and non-convertible debentures (NCD), and includes Rs 69 crore from Switzerland-based BlueEarth Capital (via ECB), Rs 65 crore from ResponsAbility (via NCD), and Rs 25 crore from Franklin Templeton AIF (via NCD).     Belong raises $5M in seed round led by Elevation Capital

    Belong, a fintech startup targeting the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) market, raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by Elevation Capital, marking its official launch. 

    The round also saw participation from Relentless Ventures and a group of angel investors, including Urban Company Co-founders Abhiraj Singh Bahl and Varun Khaitan, Zomato CFO Akshant Goyal, Mamaearth CEO Varun Alagh, PayU SVP Vineet Sethi, and McKinsey Partner Aditya Sharma. Read more.

    Green Aero raises $1.6M led by pi Ventures

    Green Aero, a deeptech startup developing next-generation aero engines for defence and civilian applications, raised $1.6 million in seed funding led by pi Ventures and Antler.

    The funds will support product development and testing, team expansion in engineering and operations, the setup of a testing facility, and the go-to-market strategy for the company’s first engine.

    Green Aero, founded in 2023 by Prithwish Kundu, develops next-generation aero engines for the defence sector and hydrogen-based propulsion systems aimed at reducing emissions in aviation and shipping. 

    The company is working on indigenous engines through advanced research and development. It plans to commercialise its first small-category engine within the next 12 months while preparing for the development of a larger engine platform.

    Avis Hospital bags $2.5M in growth capital from NABVENTURES

    Avis Hospital, a speciality centre focused on the treatment of varicose veins, secured $2.5 million in growth capital from NABVENTURES, the venture capital arm of NABARD.

    The investment was facilitated by Equity 360, a boutique private market investment banking firm led by Sumeet Seraf.

    The capital will support Avis Hospital’s expansion into over 15 Tier II and III cities, enhancing its ability to provide specialised care to underserved communities. The hospital also plans to invest in technology-led diagnostics and establish mobile screening camps to identify and treat patients in remote rural areas.

    Enercomp Solutions raises Rs 2 Cr in bridge round

    Dronetech startup Enercomp Solutions raised Rs 2 crore in a bridge funding round from angel investors to expand manufacturing capacity, invest in advanced drone operating systems, and strengthen its ability to deliver large-scale national projects.

    Enercomp raised Rs 6.9 crore in earlier rounds, with its valuation rising to Rs 60 crore. The capital will also support product innovation, operational growth, and the development of its AI-powered drone software.

    Ahmedabad-based Enercomp specialises in indigenous drone manufacturing, drone-as-a-service solutions, and GIS-based data analytics. With a portfolio of seven proprietary drone models, it serves clients in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and government sectors.

    Bestvantage Investments, a boutique investment advisory firm, advised and facilitated the funding round.

    CoinDCX appoints new heads for engineering and product

    Crypto exchange CoinDCX appointed Amol Wanjari as Head of Engineering and Sangeeth Aloysius as Head of Product, as part of its India-focused growth strategy.

    Wanjari, formerly with Amazon, has 20 years of experience as an engineering leader and has held senior positions at Amazon Pay, Acko, and Bizongo. He has expertise in developing large-scale distributed systems, AI-driven products, and high-performance platforms, and is skilled in mentoring teams and delivering secure, consumer-grade infrastructure at scale.

    Aloysius, formerly with Flipkart, has over 18 years of experience in product leadership. An alumnus of the Indian School of Business, he was most recently Senior Director and Head of Products at Flipkart.

    These senior appointments coincide with the company’s plans to onboard more Indian investors over the next six months. CoinDCX is also expanding its team, with a 15% increase in new hires to support the development of secure, high-performance trading experiences tailored to Indian users.

    Tata Technologies and Emerson partner to develop testing solutions for OEMs

    Tata Technologies and Emerson have partnered to develop integrated testing and validation solutions for global OEMs in the automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle sectors.

    The partnership combines Tata Technologies’ expertise in systems engineering, E/E architecture, and mobility platform development with Emerson’s software-connected test and measurement solutions. 

    It aims to help manufacturers address the challenges of next-generation mobility by enabling faster, more efficient validation of software-defined, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles, reducing development time and costs.

    Pilot programmes are underway in India, Europe, and North America.

    Unicommerce expands into the B2B segment

    Ecommerce enablement SaaS platform Unicommerce entered the B2B segment with a new set of solutions designed to improve the efficiency and speed of business-to-business operations. 

    The tools aim to enhance fulfilment processes for retail replenishment, quick commerce, general and modern trade, and other B2B orders for ecommerce brands and online sellers.

    The B2B suite is designed to help businesses manage orders with greater speed and accuracy. Its Unified B2B Order Management System automates purchase order creation from PDF, image or Excel files, supports complex orders with over 1,000 SKUs, tracks inventory expiry, and enables real-time edits and prioritisation.

    Integrated with a bulk-focused Warehouse Management System, it allows re-routing of orders between warehouses, dynamic stock reallocation, scan-based packing and automated returns handling. The system also generates GST e-Invoices and eWay Bills, captures orders from quick commerce platforms, manages shipments, supports customised pricing, and synchronises with ERP systems in real time.

    HERE and Genesys International partner to improve road safety

    HERE Technologies, a global provider of digital mapping and location data, and Genesys International, an Indian geospatial solutions company, partnered to enhance in-car navigation and improve road safety across India.

    The duo are developing a next-generation in-car navigation system aimed at reducing distracted driving. It will offer Indian drivers a seamless digital cockpit experience with live maps, real-time traffic updates, road hazard alerts from HERE, and integrated ADAS features from Genesys.

    Powered by AI, HERE’s mapping system offers real-time updates on road conditions, speed limits, traffic, EV routes, and charging stations, providing precise, context-aware guidance for drivers.

    Tata Consumer Products and Kenvue join Meesho Mall

    Meesho Mall partnered with Tata Consumer Products and Kenvue India to expand its range of wellness, beverage, and personal care products for consumers across India.

    Through this partnership, popular brands from Tata, including Tata Tea, Tetley, and Tata Coffee, and Kenvue India, such as Clean & Clear, Johnson’s baby care products, and Stayfree sanitary pads, are now available to millions of Meesho shoppers, especially in Tier II and smaller markets.

    Consumers in cities such as Dehradun, Puri, Madurai, and Surat are increasingly using online platforms to buy daily essentials like green tea, skincare, and hygiene products.

    WSAI at IIT Madras partners with Lloyds Technology Centre

    The Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI at IIT Madras partnered with Lloyds Technology Centre to collaborate on industrial and deep research projects.

    The collaboration will support innovation, create research opportunities, and strengthen the technical and scientific capabilities of both WSAI and Lloyds.

    A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on July 8, 2025, at the IIT Madras campus. Under the agreement, engineers from Lloyds Technology Centre will receive sponsorship for advanced certified training programmes in areas such as advanced data engineering and AI/ML.

    Zscaler extends Zero Trust platform

    Zscaler has launched Zscaler Cellular, extending its AI-powered Zero Trust Exchange platform. This solution enables Zero Trust communication for IoT and OT devices using only a cellular SIM card, removing the need for extra software or VPNs. 

    It offers resilient global connectivity by automatically connecting devices to any cellular network and isolates each device on a private network, with all traffic securely routed through the Zscaler platform.

    Paisabazaar launches Credit Premier League

    Paisabazaar, a consumer credit marketplace and free credit score platform, launched the Paisabazaar Credit Premier League, a nationwide contest to identify India’s most credit-healthy consumers.

    The contest is open to existing and new Paisabazaar users who check their credit score on the website or app. Participants can track their all-India, city-wise, and age-wise rankings on the Paisabazaar app.
