Amid rumors that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham are estranged from his family—especially after being MIA from dad David Beckham’s 50th birthday—a source with knowledge has shed light on where the apparent feud may have started.
At their April 2022 wedding, “Brooklyn and Nicola were under the impression they were being gifted their first dance by Marc Anthony,” the source told E! News. However, when it came time to step out on the dance floor, Brooklyn’s mom Victoria Beckham was allegedly put in the spotlight instead.
“Marc Anthony announced, ‘Please welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room…Victoria Beckham,’” the source continued. “Brooklyn wasn’t quite sure what to do and was put in an awkward situation.”
Guests were shocked, according to the insider and “Nicola left the room crying. She eventually came back and was able to collect herself to celebrate the rest of her wedding.”
Since then, the duo “have made good faith efforts over the years” to connect with his family, but, added the source, their relationship is not currently good.
